Econofrost Electric Motor Driven Night Covers
Electrically operated thermal blinds offer fresh food retailers greater flexibility and labor savings. Wired into the store’s energy management system, the electric covers can be set to automatically open and close when desired.
Electric motor driven night covers are ideal for service openings in meat prep rooms, cold room storage areas and long lineups of refrigerated display cases. In most installations, several electrical night curtains can be interconnected to form a thermal barrier line of up to 100 feet or more with a separation of no more than one inch between night cover units.
The term “electrical unit” means a thermal blind unit that can be connected to a motor. One motor can operate 48 feet of thermal shielding. Special interconnecting parts come with each electric night cover unit to adjust the thermal blinds so that they are perfectly aligned.
Electrical and manual night cover units have different components and tubing, therefore they cannot be interchanged.
Sizes and Applications
Available in 4-foot, 6-foot, 8-foot and 12-foot models with a vertical fabric length of 78 inches. (Longer fabric lengths are available as a custom order.) One 12-foot motor blind drives itself and three 12-f00t auxiliary units for a total operating length of 48 feet.
It is important to note that electric night blind units do not include motors; motors must be ordered separately. When specifying motor blinds please note how many drive units (blind with motor) and slave/auxiliary units (connecting blinds) are required.
